Before 2015:

My start into music was learning to play piano at an early age, but the progress was retarded due to my strict teacher. Nevertheless, I never abandoned playing the piano.

I am interested in music, words and pictures, but my abilities are mainly in the field of words. End of 2014 I wrote a Christmas song. Talking about this with a colleague at work led to the begin of a partnership in writing words (by me) and music (by my colleague).

2015:

Rubberband is founded on Jan 1st. On that day I send a mail with 4 lyrics to this colleague: "What the heck is in your brain", "When He was born", "Es kann nicht jeden Tag Weihnachten sein", "So many books".

I create the name „Rubberband-Project“. The word "Rubberband" is taken from the song „White Rose“.

In late summer I start to publish the songs on YouTube. The first one is "What the heck is in your brain" on September 24, totally 24 songs in 2015. Many of the songs are recorded in an engineering lab, with guitar and voice only. I use a Sony microphone and an Olympus voice-recorder.

I assemble two CDs „White Rose“ and "Going fast".

2016:

The logo of "Rubberband" is created. First „merchandizing“: T-Shirts.

I put 27 songs on YouTube in this year. My colleague arranges the songs by using a Zoom R8-Sampler.

I published the first song composed by myself: "Sometimes", played on Yamaha PSR-S970 keyboard.

I create the Homepage: www.rubberband-music.com. Unfortunately „Rubberband“ collides with tons of homepages of rubberband-companies and rubberband-driven toy-machines. So it is important to use it only together with "music" or "musik".

First performance as birthday-surprise by my family for me.

I assemble two CDs „No clouds“ and „More than ever“.

Dec 31: My first performance with "Augenblicke dauern nicht lange", "Was wäre Weihnachten ohne dich" and "Sometimes" for my family. Realization of an "Old Year's resolution".

2017:

Continuation of creating new Songs.

Release of "Vela Luka", my first song in an Austrian dialect. It is a song dealing with the fate of refugees.

March 04 "Heike" is released. So far it becomes the most successful song with 400 Klicks end of 2017 (750 Klicks end of 2018).

2018:

Meanwhile the homepage has achieved some priority when searching "Rubberband music", although I have never used any SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

Jan 04: Purchase of a power-amplifier-system.

March 04: "Performance 01". First full live-performance of Rubberband. For details see "Diary".

June 24: "Performance 02". For details see "Diary".

June 30: My colleague leaves Rubberband. The project is continued.

December 02: "Performance 03". For details see "Diary".

2019:

Vor 2015:

Ich begann recht früh, Klavier zu lernen, aber ein überstrenger Lehrer behinderte meinen Fortschritt. Ich gab aber das Klavierspielen nie ganz auf.

Ich bin interessiert an Musik, Texten und Bilder, aber meine Fähigkeiten sind hauptsächlich auf dem Gebiet der Texte. Ende 2014 schrieb ich ein Weihnachtslied. Darüber sprach ich mit einem Arbeits-Kollegen. Das führte zum Beginn einer Songwriter-Partnerschaft. Ich schrieb die Texte, er die Musik.

2015:

Rubberband wird am 1. Jänner gegründet. An diesen Tag sende ich vier Texte an den genannten Kollegen: "What the heck is in your brain", "When He was born", "Es kann nicht jeden Tag Weihnachten sein", "So many books".

Für dieses Unternehmen wähle ich den Namen „Rubberband-Project“. Das Wort '"Rubberband" ist aus dem Text „White Rose“.

Im Spätsommer beginne ich, die Songs auf YouTube zu veröffentlichen. Der erste ist "What the heck is in your brain" am 24. September, gesamt 24 Songs in 2015. Viele der Songs werden in einem maschinenbautechnischen Labor aufgenommen, nur mit Gitarre und Stimme. Ich verwende ein Sony Mikrophon und einen Olympus Voice-Rekorder.

Ich stelle 2 CDs zusammen: „White Rose“ und "Going fast".

2016:

Das Rubberband-Logo entsteht. Erstes „Merchandizing“: T-Shirts.

Ich erstelle die Homepage www.rubberband-music.com. Der Name „Rubberband“ kollidiert mit einer Unmenge von Homepages von Gummiband-Herstellern und Gummiband-betriebenen Spielzeugen. Daher ist es wichtig, in Suchmaschinen (Google) auch "music" oder "musik" einzugeben.

Erste Aufführung als Geburtstagsüberraschung meiner Familie.

Ich stelle die 2 CDs „No clouds“ und „More than ever“ zusammen.

31. Dezember: Meine erste Performance mit "Augenblicke dauern nicht lange", "Was wäre Weihnachten ohne dich" und "Sometimes" für meine Familie. Umsetzung eines "Altjahres-Vorsatzes".

2017:

Weiterführung des Songschreibens.

Veröffentlichung von "Vela Luka", erster Song in einem österreichischen Dialekt. Der Song handelt vom Schicksal der Flüchtlinge.

4. März: Ich veröffentliche "Heike". Dieser Song wird der bis jetzt erfolgreichste Song mit 400 Klicks Ende 2017 (750 Klicks Ende 2018).

2018:

Mittlerweile hat die Homepage eine ansehnliche Priorität erlangt, wenn man nach "Rubberband music" sucht, obwohl ich niemals SEO verwendet habe (Search Engine Optimization).

4. Jänner: Ich schaffe eine Verstärker-Anlage für Auftritte an.

4. März: "Performance 01". Erster Live-Auftritt von Rubberband. Genaueres in "Diary".

24. Juni: "Performance 02". Genaueres siehe "Diary".

30. Juni: Mein Kollege verlässt Rubberband. Das Projekt wird weitergeführt.
